I would reccomend staying overnight. They have powerful telescopes that they pull out at night that make for a great show. If you ONLY want to play on the dunes, then a couple of hours is probably all you need. But there is much more to the Bruneau Sand Dunes than just the dunes.
I'm not sure. You can check their web site, or you should be able to call. I know they have night time group hikes, but not sure if they would allow a solo hike.
