Hi I am thinking of doing this trail solo, probably not the whole trail from Gisenyi but probably something like from Gisenyi to Karongi or something. Would you say this trail can be easily done by a solo female traveler? Would you recommend I have a guide to walk with? Cheers! I cannot wait to do this trail.

There are a few that I found online- a couple of blogs about the trail are good and have maps, although they tend to be for cycling...try the blog 'living in Kigali' as that has good links.
