Best park in the mountains. The scenery is amazing. The Watauga River flows along the park allowing visitors to wade or fly fish. If you are in the Boone area this place is a must. hugmyer2021的完整评论

How far is the river from the parking area? What about play area from parking area?

River access is only about one-to-two-tenths of a mile from the parking area, either around a paved path or across a field, and the playground area is very close, less than 100 feet.
How many/large are the picnic tables? Is it hard to get one on a typical weekend? We have a large family gathering with about 20 people and we're looking for a good picnic spot.
