Over 20,000 U.S. federal employees, roughly 1% of the government workforce, have signed up for an offer to quit their jobs, a source said on Tuesday, in return for continuing to receive their salaries through the end of September.

Federal workers had a chance to share thoughts on the Trump Administration's buyout offer with Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. The public forum on Tuesday night was a chance for those workers to hear from other elected officials and provide them with resources.
