Franklin police said Thursday that Grove Street was closed because of a crash involving an MBTA commuter train and a car.

An MBTA commuter rail train hit the motor vehicle at the railway crossing on Grove Street, Franklin police alerted residents around 4:00 p.m.

FRANKLIN -- A car collided with an MBTA commuter train Thursday but nobody was reported injured. The accident took place in the afternoon on Grove Street. There was minor damage and no injuries reported, fire officials said. Grove Street, which was closed because of the accident, later reopened.
