ACC changes format for baseball tournament, making it single-elimination with all teams invoilved
Everyone who plays baseball in the Atlantic Coast Conference will have a chance to compete for the league title beginning this spring. The conference has announced that all 16 teams will compete in a single-elimination championship scheduled for May 20-25 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
ACC changes baseball tournament from pool play to single-elimination format
The league announced Wednesday its move away from a pool-play format. Now all 16 teams participating in baseball will join a tournament that gives double-round byes into the quarterfinals for the top four seeds and single-round byes to the No. 5 through No. 8 seeds.
