IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Johnson County’s sheriff said the county has spent more than 15 million dollars over the past 20 years to house inmates at other jails because he doesn’t have enough room.

A new study shows it would cost almost "three and a half million" dollars to fix the outside and the infrastructure of the Johnson County Jail.
