The first carbon dioxide injection tests for carbon capture and storage in the UK are taking place in the North Sea off the coast of East Anglia.

Alliance Petrochemical Investment (API) lodged its claim against the entrepreneur in October, just three months after Shell announced the sale of its Southern North Sea assets to Viaro.

The Crosgan discovery is operated by ONE-Dyas under a joint venture with supermajor Shell and lies around 60 kilometres east of the partners’ Pensacola discovery in the southern North Sea.
