SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Summerville High School announced they will close Friday to support the school’s football program playing in the South Carolina State Championship.

Sarah Nesbit, a Summerville High School teacher, is the 2024 Teacher of the Year at Dorchester School District Two (DD2). Nesbit was named District Teacher of the Year during a ceremony on May 9.

Students from Bret Harte High in Angels Camp, Summerville High in Tuolumne and Tioga High in Groveland competed at events between Jan. 17 and Feb. 3.
