No trains are able to run on the Abbey Line between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey due to the issue, which was first reported at 6.01am (January 10). Disruption is expected to last until 9.30am.
The date from which contactless can be used at eight stations in and around Watford, including the Abbey Line and Kings Langley has been confirmed.
