A federal judge paused cuts that the Trump administration had made to funding for public health research, but Monday’s temporary restraining order will apply only in the 22 Democratic-led states that brought a lawsuit challenging the reduction in funding.

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to reinstate content that was recently removed from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) websites, including LGBTQ-inclusive informational pages.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington instructed the government to restore access to several webpages and datasets that the group identified as missing from websites and to identify others that also were taken down “without adequate notice or reasoned explanation.”
