LATEST Jan. 7, 10:15 a.m. Redwood City police have identified the victim of Thursday morning’s shooting behind a Whole Foods Market as an 18-year-old Redwood City resident. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person was fatally shot behind a supermarket in Redwood City early Thursday morning, according to police. According to Lt. Jeff Clements of the Redwood City Police Department, officers learned that someone was lying on the road behind the Whole Foods Market store in the area of Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue.
