The Los Angeles Lakers shocked the world when they traded Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Doncic. Not only was LeBron James reportedly surprised by the transaction but so was Davis. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the big man had “no idea” that he was going to get moved to Dallas before the deadline.

The unfathomable trade has certainly shaken up the NBA, but Davis, a longtime close friend of LeBron James, acknowledged that he understands the business side of basketball. It was surely an unexpected move, but he made clear he's looking forward to competing with the Mavericks, where he'll team up with Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.
