Paul Zegarra, 41, was booked into the Travis County Jail on charges of criminal mischief and graffiti pecuniary loss.

A Downtown Austin Alliance crew arrived at the scene early Friday morning to clean up the graffiti spray-painted on the pedestal of the bronze figure. The extent of the damage appears to be minor.
