NEW YORK (AP) — Google’s online calendar has removed default references for a handful of holidays and cultural events — with users noticing that mentions of Pride and Black History Month, as well as other observances, no longer appear in their desktop and mobile applications.

The Silicon Valley giant said it made the change last year because it was difficult to keep up with every occasion, but some users questioned the decision.

Prime Month and other diversity holidays have been removed from Google Calendar, with Google saying that the change happened months ago.
