Kosovo's ruling party wins election but loses majority
Vetevendosje won 41.3% of votes with 88% of ballots counted, down from more than 50% in the 2021 poll that brought a Vetevendosje-led coalition to power, results from the election commission showed. The opposition Democratic Party of Kosovo was second with 21.8% and the Democratic League of Kosovo party had 17.8%.

PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s leftist party won the most seats in the parliamentary election, but was left without a majority in the house, forcing it to look for an ally to form the next government, according to preliminary results released Monday.
But Kurti’s ruling party fell short of a majority and will need to find a coalition partner if it hopes to continue in power.
