The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services' Energy Assistance Program helps reduce energy bills by making payments directly to the energy company on your behalf.

The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) provides a supplement to assist qualifying low-income Nevadans with the cost of home energy. EAP helps reduce energy bills by making payments directly to the energy company on your behalf.

Previously administered by NV Energy, the SAFE program is now administered by United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) and serves those in need in northern Nevada. The SAFE program supplements state and federal low-income energy assistance programs.

Senior Energy Assistance Expo If you are age 62 or older and need help paying your utility bills, Project REACH, administered by United Way of Southern Nevada, may be able to offer the resources you need.

This free service helps NV Energy’s residential customers who meet income eligibility requirements replace select older, ine°cient refrigerators and electric dryers with newer, more energy-e°cient models. The NV Energy Foundation provides funding to support Project REACH, administered by United Way of Southern Nevada. The utility assistance program is provided to residential customers, age 62 and older who meet income guidelines. Project REACH is available to help pay a past-due energy bill once during a 12-month period.
