2010年6月12日 · Decently loud and with a nice acoustic presence, but still more or less sounds like an unplugged electric (i.e. not like an acoustic). It's definitely my favorite unplugged electric sound, I think probably because it strikes a nice balance between a solid body's sound and a large-bodied Gretsch or something's sound.

2015年4月12日 · I think you can get pretty much equal tuning stability on just about any guitar if it's set up well. I just bought a prs santana se. I widened the nut slots a little, bought locking tuners, put liquid graphite at all the points of movement and it stays in tune perfectly.

2013年9月26日 · Just to be clear, I'm very experienced with setup and have done a fair amount of guitar work myself (including designing, building and finishing my own guitar). Plus, in those cases I discussed the problem with my luthier so all setup issues (properly cut and dressed nut, properly set up bridge, correct neck relief, etc.) were all ruled out.

2010年7月7日 · I have the exact same issue on a swamp ash jazzmaster with mastery bridge and bone nut. Just the low E string, also when fretted, sounds very bassy and dull. I really think it's the wood that makes this low note resonate weirdly... so sad because I love that guitar, it's a beatiful nitrocellulose finish and the neck and action is just perfect..

2016年9月7日 · Usually even a properly DI'd electric guitar straight into a mixer won't sound all that great. EQ'ing can help as well as compression. I would ask the OP what he or she normally plays the Telecaster through. The playing style description didn't clarify (at least from my perspective) what would be needed.

2019年11月4日 · You can see that by looking at them. And god only knows why the tolerances are so broad in a component where the actual value is quite significant. Honestly, if I get a smooth pot of the right value for my guitar, I don't even fight for a proper taper anymore. I'd love to see some startup put the "big boys" out of the pot business.
