Bruce Arthur Blakeman (born October 2, 1955) is an American attorney and politician currently serving as the 10th County Executive of Nassau County, New York. [1] He was elected in the 2021 election, defeating Democratic incumbent Laura Curran.

A champion for the rights of women and girls to compete in sporting events in female leagues without transgender biological males bullying their way onto girls’ teams, Bruce Blakeman signed an Executive Order to protect women’s sports.

Bruce Blakeman was elected Nassau County Executive on November 2, 2021. Blakeman currently serves as Hempstead Town Councilman, where he voted to cut property taxes two years in a row and approved budgets that earned the Town of Hempstead among the highest Wall Street credit ratings available.
