I accidentally carolina-squatted my 4runner - Toyota 4Runner …
2020年8月5日 · With the bilsteins on the top perch, you essentially have 5/2.5. A 2.5 difference in front to rear is most likely giving the slightly squat look. I would bring the bilsteins down. Also look at your CV angles. With 5" of lift up front, those babies are probably not too happy. when using ome springs, you have to keep the bilstiens at the 0 setting.

I accidentally carolina-squatted my 4runner - Page 2 - Toyota 4Runner …
2020年8月14日 · It looks like its already overloaded in the rear. I had the same problem and went with the OME899's to correct it. Never looked back and I like how stiff the rear is when jumping the truck. The 895e's used to feel soft and bottom out all the time. Yea I wish I just went with the heavy duty spring for added weight.

Am I the only one who does not like the look of “leveled” lifts?
2023年6月16日 · To look correct, Never level more than an 1” Bilstein 5100s at the .8 setting. If you want more do 2/1 lift, 2.5/1.5 lift or 2.5/2 for closest to factory rake. Tons of options out there but Dobinsons or Eibach is what I’d say check out.
Third Gen 4Runner lift : r/3rdGen4Runner - Reddit
2022年3月21日 · Only aesthetic priority is I will rip it right back off with any reverse rake or “squatted” back end. I hate the squatted look and while I have stock bumpers I Cary a sleeper platform/drawer unit.
Slight Squat After Rough Country Suspension Lift Install
2019年3月27日 · Would it be a dumb idea if OP add a winch bumper? Sure one can argue swapping springs would be the real solution vs adding more weight. But me thinking since already have springs that have too much lift why not use it for an upgrade like a winch bumper. May be it would be enough for a full bumper with winch? Sorry, I'm full of dumb ideas.

Still squatted but not as bad. Here is a pic of the 5100s after i dropped it to the second setting. Lastly is a pic of the stock springs next to the OME 895e next to the Icon 2" for height reference. After adding a front bumper, it looks to be leveled out. Depending on your mileage you might want to replace the struts/shocks anyway.
