I have finally watched American Psycho, and wow. I had no idea what the movie was about going into it, and I didn’t expect it to be as great as it was. What An amazing movie. I love these perspective type of films that 99.9% of normal people would not think this way. It’s pretty entertaining to think how the mind of a killer may work.

After all, psycho refers to someone who suffers from psychosis/ psychotic behavior. He is a psycho who got away with it even with all of his mistakes because he comes from money and all people care about is money (the woman wants to sell the apartment and the lawyer gets paid to get him out of trouble (by prob. his father).

2016年2月21日 · If we take American Psycho at face value, it has no value. It is just a boring book about some guy talking about 80s fashion and banal pop culture and occasionally killing some people. But taken as an unreliable narrator story, it becomes a character study of the late 20th Century American male. Only one of those things is objectively interesting.

I probably wouldn't go as far as to consider it one of my favorites, but I like it enough to warrant rewatching it at some point. it's a really... weird movie though, to say the least. a lot of moments felt very dream-like and the ending is so confusing.
