There are a number of short trails along both sides of the Amnicon River, offering varied views of the falls and surrounding scenery. A 0.8-mile self-guided nature trail provides scenic views of the river as well as access to the river bed downstream from the falls area.

Amnicon Falls State Park has 36 campsites, including one that is accessible for people with disabilities and two walk-in sites, 100 and 150 feet from the parking area. There are a swing set and sandbox in the campground, as well as a large field perfect for family activities.

Between 1965 and 1977, the state purchased another 138 acres of property completing the 828-acre park now know as Amnicon Falls State Park. The falls will be here for untold years to come and so, too, will be the people who walk the river banks and enjoy this special place.

Amnicon Falls, with its water, forests and fields, is a fine place to enjoy nature. You may see deer, coyote, fox, raccoon, porcupine, ruffed grouse and a variety of smaller animals if you quietly walk the park trails. Along the river, you might see beaver, mink or otter.

Among the attractions at Amnicon Falls State Park is the 55-foot long bridge that spans the river at the Lower Falls. Originally it had no covering and was a highway bridge that crossed the Amnicon River not far from the park.
