Cosmic ray - Wikipedia
Cosmic rays or astroparticles are high-energy particles or clusters of particles (primarily represented by protons or atomic nuclei) that move through space at nearly the speed of light. They originate from the Sun, from outside of the Solar System in our own galaxy, [ 1 ] and from distant galaxies. [ 2 ] .
Cosmic rays: particles from outer space - CERN
Cosmic rays are a form of high-energy radiation that originate from outside our solar system. When they reach Earth, the rays collide with particles in the upper atmosphere to produce a “shower” of particles, including muons. (Image: CERN)
Cosmic ray | Definition, Types, Effects, & Facts | Britannica
2024年12月26日 · cosmic ray, a high-speed particle—either an atomic nucleus or an electron—that travels through space. Most of these particles come from sources within the Milky Way Galaxy and are known as galactic cosmic rays (GCRs).
What are cosmic rays? - University of Chicago News
Cosmic rays are particles from outer space that travel across the universe. They can be made by the sun, by other stars exploding, and even black holes. They move extremely fast, nearly the speed of light, but when they hit the Earth they are generally blocked by our atmosphere and made harmless to humans.

2023年6月19日 · Cosmic rays are atom fragments that rain down on the Earth from outside of the solar system. They blaze at nearly the speed of light and have been blamed for...
Cosmic ray astronomy - Wikipedia
Cosmic ray astronomy is a branch of observational astronomy where scientists attempt to identify and study the potential sources of extremely high-energy (ranging from 1 MeV to more than 1 EeV) charged particles called cosmic rays coming from outer space.

Cosmic Ray Data - National Centers for Environmental Information
Cosmic Rays (CR) constitute a time and spatial variable flux of fully ionized energetic atoms and subatomic particles that continuously permeate the solar system, reaching the Earth with energies of approximately 10 6 to 10 21 electron-Volt (eV).
Cosmic Rays - Introduction - Imagine the Universe!
2017年9月6日 · Cosmic Rays. Cosmic rays provide one of our few direct samples of matter from outside the solar system. They are high energy particles that move through space at nearly the speed of light. Most cosmic rays are atomic nuclei stripped of their atoms with protons (hydrogen nuclei) being the most abundant type but nuclei of elements as
