Oct 11, 2024 · I Have the same issue but even in the settings part of the app it no longer has the option to add video locations, so I'm guessing this has been done so we all move over to the media player app and the films and Tv app will be just that 'for movies or TV we have purchased'.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Movies & TV at least 3 times since I began having this problem. The video file formats are formats supported by the Movies & TV app. Until recently, the videos have been played many times using the Movies & TV app without any problems or complaints.

Since you've already uninstalled the Movies and TV app and run PowerShell scripts without success, try resetting the Microsoft Store cache and running the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter. Make sure your video files are associated with the Movies and TV app.

Dec 9, 2018 · Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums. Movies and TV app supports video 360 format but virtual media content is not supported. So you are not able to watch the video. However, we would suggest you get in touch with manufacturer of VR headsets and get VR client to enjoy the personal videos.

Oct 21, 2024 · After latest major update. The TV and Movies app no longer works when using the 360 degree view tab. The video starts and plays fine until you click the 360 degree tab it goes to a black screen with a line in it. the video looks like it's trying to open but will not. I tried multiple videos and the all act the same.
