
That Mouse Trap board game I barely knew how to play.
Die-hard Mouse Trap fan here, I can confirm this is false. The instructions state that the cheese can be "spent" by a player on the "Turn Crank" square in the loop near the end of the game path, and allow the player to roll the die for another player's mouse.
Has anyone ever made a game that is like Mouse Trap... but good?
The problem with Mouse Trap is that the boardgame part of it is tacked-on and pointless. The fun part is just making a Rube Goldberg machine, and you can do that with any random objects around the house, maybe using YouTube videos for inspiration if you run out of ideas.

2022年10月18日 · The game is just designed bad fundamentally. The most fun part of it is the mouse trap going in action. If I had to make it fun I would get rid of the dice rolling and just put mice in the trap. And if someones mouse got caught they have to drink.

The game play could pretty much be operated on auto-pilot, kinda like chutes and ladders, and the actual sequenced play served only as a way to string out the actual assembly of the trap.... which occurred piece by piece as the mice progressed across the board. The version I had was definitely only had red and yellow parts for the trap, however.
