The polar night is unique to Svalbard – it’s the darkest time of the dark period, from mid-November to the end of January, when you can sometimes even see striking northern lights during the day. The polar climate, rich wildlife, wild nature and old mining towns of Svalbard have long fascinated both explorers and travellers.

From September until April we offer horseback rides late in the evening where we ride on the arctic beach, past ancient remnants from the Viking Age and hopefully we’ll see the Northern Lights. This tour does not require any riding experience and everyone is more than welcome to join the adventure!

Here you can enjoy all seasons under the night sky in one of our northern light cabins, they even have their own jacuzzi so you can relax after a long day in the saddle, or a cold day in the sleigh. In the summer you can enjoy the midnight sun, during wintertime- if you are lucky, you might see the northern lights dance for you!
