Quake 4 is a 2005 first-person shooter video game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. It is the fourth title in the Quake series, after the multiplayer Quake III Arena, and a sequel to Quake II.

2019年8月5日 · When i open steam it says quake 4 is running . I looked up two walk throughs of how to stop it from running but neither has worked. ctl,shift,esc... wont end the game process...i tried verifing game cache files.. also didnt work.

If Quake 4 crashes at launch, it may be because the Windows UAC prompt is not popping up after launching the title. If this occurs, restart your PC and try again. If the UAC prompt still doesn’t pop after restarting, try running the game executable as Administrator from the installation folder.

2019年9月2日 · My Quake 4 will not launch anymore. I was trying to get 1440p to work on this game. But my config file turns out to be blank and verifying does not help at all. Any ideas? Thanks. Try this: Delete the config file, and then repair the installation. Try downloading an offline backup installer of the game and installing it to a seperate directory.

2021年8月14日 · I'm having a problem with launching Quake 4 on GOG Galaxy 2.0: For some reason when, I click 'play' in Galaxy 2.0, the game boots up, displays 'Building menus...' and crashes to desktop in a matter of seconds. However, I've found that launching the Quake 4 executable as an administrator works, but always fails when clicking 'play' on Galaxy.
