2023年12月19日 · I played 10 hours of Quake Live this year and had no problem finding games. You're pretty much limited to either FFA or Clan Arena but that's fine for me, also best to look at peak times. Google "Quake Live Steamcharts" to see how many active users there are. It's had a consistent playbase, although not huge, for years.

2023年1月28日 · Quake live is very fast kinda like playing quake 1 on cocaine. There are some aesthetic tweaks and sound differences ,but quake 3 arena is slower imo. I recommend quake live for the ease of setup although 3 is probably more beginner friendly.

Unless you have nostalgia for the original game, aspects of the OG or prefer the old movement, there is no reason to not choose Live over Q3A especially for a first timer. And even if you did miss stuff from the OG, there are mods in the workshop that brings everything back. I will say though.

2018年3月19日 · In Quake Live, acceleration is disabled there as well. My sensitivity when set below a '1' in QL, is erratic and doesn't seem to behave like it should. The setting of 1 feels too slow, and incremental increases up to 2 or so, feel too fast. I'll generally run about a 1.4 or so.

2022年1月28日 · Quake DOES have lag compensation... but people need to understand there's no silver bullet for being out phase and or sync with another player. Most of QL's compensation takes place server side. On the client side, there's timenudge/auto time nudge. I've played with, used time nudge extensively, and the impact is minimal at best.

2023年3月1日 · Quake Live 4k resolution how i get Quake Live in 4k resolution? I have a 43 inch monitor and the highest good resolution i can set is 2500x1600(because choosing "desktop resolution" graphics are too grainy and not playable even though all settings are all maxed out).

2021年5月17日 · Quake Live is probably the better choice. It doesn't have gibs and has a different announcer, but you can bring those back pretty easily with modding through the workshop. Everything else about it is a direct upgrade imo.
