2022年6月20日 · In 2000, Dan started his project on breeding Silver Laced Brahmas and Buff Laced Brahmas. The Buff Laced Brahmas have a light rim on the edge of their feathers , a pattern that he loved. This design is very unusual for giant chickens, and it’s the only heavy-weight breed fowl that boasts the buff laced color pattern.

Brahmas are large, stately birds. The breed is standardized in three varieties: Light, Buff and Dark. They are very calm yet good foragers. You can probably guess from the amount of pictures on this page that Brahmas are among my favorite fowl. To cut down on load time, Brahma chicks are on a separate page.

The color pattern of the Buff Brahma is the similar to the Light Brahma — with black markings on the hackle and tail feathers — except that the white sections are replaced by golden buff. These are truly regal and beautiful birds with their buff and black coloring, and great size.
