The Santa Maria Ship & Museum was a museum ship in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The craft was a full-size replica of the Santa María, one of three ships Christopher Columbus used in 1492 during his first voyage to the Americas.

Billed as "the world's most authentic, museum-quality representation of Christopher Columbus' flagship," the Santa Maria Ship/Museum has been anchored to the banks of the Scioto River in the heart of Ohio's state capital since 1992.

It is claimed to be the “world's most authentic, museum-quality replica of Christopher Columbus' flagship.” You can tour the Santa Maria, its decks, cargo hold and crew quarters and get some idea of what working and living aboard the ship was like—and wonder how such tiny secondhand ships made it across the Atlantic Ocean.

2019年4月7日 · The Santa Maria is a museum quality replica of the ship Christopher Columbus sailed in 1492 and is docked on the Olentangy River in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The ship is just beautiful, and I find Central Ohio lucky to have an accessible piece of history that allows visitors and the community to have a hands on experience.

The Christopher Columbus Discovery Monument was designed by Alphons Pelzer. It includes a statue of Columbus commissioned in 1892 by Monsignor Joseph Jessing for display at the Pontifical College Josephinum. The statue was moved to Capitol Square in 1932.
