Alternatively, if one wants to avoid dodging most of the motorboat traffic, launching from south of Toilet Seat Cut at Founders Park and heading north along the shoreline, is a more leisurely and slightly shorter paddle.

Toilet Seat Cut is a channel dug in the seagrass in the mid 1900s by a local man named Vernon Lamp. The channel got it's name from the decorated toilet seats that sit atop the channel markers.
