2017年9月11日 · AUSTIN – Effective Sept. 1, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Texas Driver Handbook was revised and transitioned to a printable, online-only format. Handbook revisions include information on texting while driving and several other clarifications passed by the Texas Legislature during the 85th Legislative Session.

The Texas Driver Handbook is available online for personal use and includes information on driving laws and safety.

The following handbook was designed to assist you, the professional driver, to pass the required knowledge and skills tests. Look for relevant study and review questions at the end of many chapters. Although comprehensive, this handbook is not an exact reference to the Texas Commercial Driver License Law. Who needs a Commercial Driver License?
