2020年2月22日 · Farrow & Ball Modern Eggshell is a water-based timber paint. In my opinion as a professional decorator, this is the holy grail for water-based paint for interior woodwork!! Re-coat time is around 4 hours, and it is very durable once cured.

2023年5月17日 · Farrow and Ball Eggshell. Farrow and Ball has two eggshell products: the Estate and Modern. Estate Eggshell can be used on woodwork, as well as an emulsion on walls and ceilings. Modern Eggshell is best suited for woodwork, or even kitchen cabinets. So, I’ll recommend a good eggshell for walls, and a paint for woodwork.

2024年3月19日 · Farrow and Ball Estate Emulsion is a low-sheen (chalky) paint used on interior walls and ceilings. It has a bad rep, simply because it doesn’t contain much polymer binder, meaning the finished paint isn’t very durable.

Yes, Farrow and Ball Dead Flat can be used on radiators, and often looks stunning. Just be conscious that painting radiators can affect their efficiency.

2023年10月13日 · Farrow and Ball Modern Emulsion has a high sheen-level for a “matt emulsion”, which can also lead to defects, as well as highlighting imperfections on walls and ceilings. Besides which, people prefer a low sheen ‘luxurious’ finish now. and it isn’t as durable as some of the other emulsion paints available.

2018年8月27日 · The thing is, Farrow and Ball are missing out on a fortune!! People want their colours and there marketing / brand is clearly effective. It would be interesting to see a figure on how much paint is actually mixed up in Farrow and Ball colours but using alternative brands of paint. They should look at ways of improving their product. 5/10

2019年5月30日 · Farrow and Ball emulsion is a pain to apply. It normally takes three coats, whereas most other emulsion products might cover in two. I know other decorators get frustrated with this, particularly considering the cost of Farrow and Ball, but the finish is generally good.

2019年10月16日 · Farrow and Ball Estate Emulsion is rich and chalky, however the paint scuffs quite easily. Modern Emulsion has more of a sheen to it, which isn’t as desirable, but the paint is much more durable . Just choose the one that best suits the room you’re decorating.
