A Black Panther sequel, titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is on the way, albeit without the titular superhero: Chadwick Boseman, who died unexpectedly in 2020. Following news of his death, Marvel Studios announced that the role of T'Challa would not be recast, nor would he appear via CGI.
