Warren Ellis (born 14 February 1965) [1] is an Australian musician and composer. He is a member of the rock groups Dirty Three and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Dirty Three are an Australian instrumental rock band, consisting of Warren Ellis (violin, keyboards), Mick Turner (electric guitar, organ and bass) and Jim White (drums), which formed in 1992. [2] . Their 1996 album Horse Stories was voted by Rolling Stone as one of the top three albums of the year. [citation needed] .

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are a rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by lead vocalist Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and German guitarist-vocalist Blixa Bargeld.
